Here is another prime example of an Australian-built sleeper – it looks factory from the exterior and interior, but when you pop the hood, you’ll notice that he went to Garrett and not to Jared.
While we don’t see this car on the road very much in the video, it is driven every day with the exception of a track day here or there. Just goes to show that you can have your cake and eat it, too. Having already ran a 9-second pass on pump gas, Con has his sleeper Commodore SSV on the dyno for some tuning, but this time it’s with E85 in the tank.
The first dyno run shows that the car is making 915 horsepower at 18.5 PSI – throughout the runs you’ll notice that the boost level stays the same and the horsepower number keeps climbing. Oh, the beauty of engine management. On the last run, Con’s Commodore puts down an impressive 972 HP, which equates to a crank horsepower number right around 1,100. Not bad for a daily driver, eh?
We can only hope to see some sleeper builds such as this one once the 2015 Chevy SS makes its way into customers’ hands. Check out Fullboost‘s Youtube channel for more octane-enriched videos!
