We saw this little number over on eBay Motors, and though the auction has ended the glory of the Thunder SS Mini truck lives on. If we didn’t know better we’d say that it’s an old Geo Storm with an El Camino bed attached to the back, but the lister of the auction assures us that “unlike the other pretenders this is a one of a kind custom truck from front to back.” Fair enough, right?
According to the auction listing it has a fully functional truck bed that is “not some caveman hatched job” and has a Custom WWII Bomber Girl mural on the sliding back window “for us Civilian Combat Vets who served our country.”
In addition to that it has a set of custom gull wing t-tops, which can be driven in the “up” position if so desired. It also wears a custom red white and blue paint theme, has a Chevelle SS cowl hood (according to the auction details, mind you), and get’s 32MPG on the Highway with it’s custom chromed out 1.6 F-1 12 valve Isuzu engine.
If you’re not sold yet you’ll be impressed to know that it was the “Outstanding In Class Winner” of the January 2011 Cavalcade of Customs in Cincinnati, OH and was seen by over 25,00 spectators. If you’re interested in driving it on a daily basis you can rest assured that it “runs strong, does not smoke, and the AC blows cold.”
Happy bidding.
