This monstrosity of a 1983 Camaro, or what’s left of it, was listed on Craigslist in Philadelphia here for $2,000, while we think that’s about $1,995 too much. We have absolutely no insight as to what the owner was thinking when he began the project, but our best guess is that it was a very slippery slope of bad decisions.
The last time we saw something this silly looking was the Corvette Mark Hammil drove in the movie “Corvette Summer.” Speaking of a Corvette, guess what’s melded on the tail of this thing? You guessed it, the tail from a C4 Corvette!
According to the listing, “all of the hard work is done” and it just needs a new owner. He considers it to have the ProStreet look for some reason unbeknown to us as there’s nothing ProStreet about it other than the fact that it could technically be driven on a street, perhaps by a Pro.
He also states that it could be a great winter project for someone who wants to make “kind of a sweet show car.” It’s got a 350 small block with a Turbo 350 automatic, a Posi rear end, new exhaust, new tires, and needs a windshield, the rear quarters to be competed, and though it does run and drive, it should be towed or trailered to it’s new home. We swear we didn’t make that up.
According to the Craigslist post the Camaro has been sold. Sorry folks, but if you snooze you lose!
