We’ve all heard of Tim Allen and his Tool Time show that was based off of his stand up comedy. In his show, he built hot rods and street rods; in real life he raced Mustangs for Steve Saleen. We loved the fact that a comedian who talked about cars on his show actually knew a little bit about them, too.

Up in Canada, there is another comedian who had a home improvement type of show that left us all in stitches, too. Steve Smith became known to many as Red Green, the leader of the Possum Lodge, Chapter 13. His motto was “when all else fails, play dead” and he had a comical fix or improvement for almost anything that needed it, and some that didn’t.

The Red Green Show had their own “Man’s Prayer” to help explain why we are the way we are: “I am a man. I can change. If I have to. I guess.” That pretty much summed up half the men who watched the show, and was a requirement before every meeting at the lodge.

The handyman who could fix almost anything with duct tape once showed us was how to add power windows to a manual window, and it required using an electric egg beater in place of the window crank on an old van. A hilarious spoof on how you can modernize your vehicle. We’re not sure if he ever made any modifications to his own Dodge Viper, but when he had an upgrade for any other car it was usually a side-splitter.

One of the funnier pieces that we’ve come across that involves a muscle car was when he showed us how to improve the fuel delivery system on a classic Camaro. We don’t want to be the spoiler here, so we’ll let you watch the video and see for yourself.
