Hot rodding and motorsport competitions like the X Games are usually very different, but when it comes to lifestyle marketing, the two share a rather large similarity in the form of well-known aftermarket wheel supply company Wheel Pros. As The Wall Street Journal’s Market Watch points out, Wheel Pros has taken on something bigger than just supplying wheels to car enthusiasts. They are also a major player in action sports, sponsoring athletes, and bringing their products to the forefront of events like the recent X Games in Los Angeles, California.
Wheel Pros is the largest aftermarket wheel supply company in the world, offering over two dozen wheel brands like American Racing, Carol Shelby, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Motegi Racing to consumers through a chain of over 25,000 authorized dealers in the U.S. as well as in over 20 different countries.
But Wheel Pros does more than just sell wheels, they pair with athletes for competitions like the X Games and offer products that not only look good on your vehicle, but also perform well from the road to the track.
For this year’s X Games in LA, Wheel Pro brands backed several action sports stars in rallycross and motocross, including Step Up gold medal winner Ronnie Renner who completed a record-setting 47-foot jump in the motocross competition atop KMC Wheels in LA this year.
Wheel Pros’ Marketing Director Rhett Sander told Market Watch that they hold action sports as a priority because they like to give back to the motorsports arena in all areas. The goal is to support major activities that their customers are truly care about.
If you need a wheel to tow your dirt bikes to the desert, Wheel Pros has you covered. Just the same, if you need a bitchin’ wheel setup for your hot rod or custom car, they can help you out there as well. Action sports and hot rodding don’t always go hand in hand, but when it comes to Wheel Pros, it sure does! After all, living the lifestyle as a gearhead, keeps us interested in everything with a motor and wheels.
