There’s something about driving the open road with the top down, feeling the sun on your skin and the wind in your hair that makes convertibles so much fun to drive. In 2011 Camaro enthusiasts were excited to hear that Chevrolet was bringing back the Camaro Convertible in a 1LT, 2LT, 1SS and 2SS models. The car has had mixed reviews from “experts” but the public has loved the look of the new Camaro. Now you can test drive the car thanks to the folks at AVIS.
According to Jaunted.com, there is now one place where you can rent the 2011 Camaro SS Convertible, “Avis is adding the new convertible to its “Cool Car” collection, and there are even two flavors from which to choose. There’s the Camaro LT which features a 312-horspower V6 engine, or if you really need to get there in a hurry there’s also the Camaro SS with a V8 engine capable of around 400-horsepower.”
The Convertible isn’t available in some of the smaller markets but the report outlines that Camaro lovers in the larger cities and near the busier airports can expect to see the Camaro sitting in the parking lots. But at what price? “We checked out rates in Los Angeles for the first week and August, and there was plenty of availability. Just be prepared for the pleasure of cruising down the PCH or Sunset Strip with the top down, as with all the taxes and fees you’re looking at around $800 for the week.“
So now the question becomes would you spend $800 to test drive the new convertible for one week? Drop us a comment below and let us know!
