The rat rod look is HUGE in the custom car scene. Constantly do we run across vintage pickup trucks, classic coupes and sedans dating from the ’30-50s that you can always see on our sister site, Rod Authority. Occasionally, we see the vintage “rat musclecar” too, but none of them are as new as this 2010 Camaro SS that was spotted at this year’s National Street Rod Association show in Louisville, Kentucky.
Captured on video and uploaded onto YouTube by “ScottieDTV,” the late-modle musclecar is reportedly supercharged and sports the most amazing wrap we have ever seen. The aftermarket rear spoiler, functional brake cooling ducts in the quarter panels, and theVN801 Daytona American Racing wheels add to the overall theme of the late-model Camaro.
The inside has a different theme going on however, as it has been finished with a very nice quality leather and suede upholstery, which add small, detailed touches to highlight the interior. We dig it, but it doesn’t match the exterior at all.
We think a car with the outside look of a “rat rod” should have a somewhat rough interior, not one filled with modern glitz. This isn’t the first rat rod themed 5th-gen we’ve seen before, however, as we have covered a car with a similar look a few times over the course of the past year. Is this the same car, our just the same theme with better execution?
