Radical burnouts are always a sure sign of a monster motor on deck, and this ’68 Chevelle featured in today’s video is one scary monster!

Not only scary but high tech, as the 400 small-block under the hood of this black beast is compressed to the max with a set of Garrett’s GT4094R turbos. The latest in Garrett’s dual ball bearing design, this radical unit can hold applications up to 850bhp with efficient top end power and great spoolup.

On top of this, the dual ball bearing turbos feature a T4 style divided inlet flange with a 3-inch V-band exit, along with a compressor housing that features a 4-inch inlet with a 2.5-inch outlet.

That’s because the Chevelle with what we would call a “murdered out” small-block has achieved an impressive track time of 7.902 at 270kmh, which translates to 167mph!

Also helping the deadly fast Chevelle to achieve this kind of on the ground grunt is a fully programmable, FT400 electronic injection system from FuelTech. A leading EFI supplier out of Brazil, the company’s emphasis is on providing customers with fully programmable fuel injection and ignition systems, with or without a distributor.

FuelTech also aims for user friendliness, as they aim to sell systems that are easy to adjust without the need of a personal computer, and within hours.
