The all-new sixth-generation Camaro has already begun to prove itself as a worthy contender for the current competition. Earlier last month, we reported that the first ’16 Camaro SS broke into the 10s with just a custom tune, drag radials, and a 150 shot of nitrous.

However, this ’16 Camaro was built by the guys at RPM Motorsports out of Garner, North Carolina. The car has become host to various modifications, making it ‘the first heads, cam, intake, and headers sixth-gen Camaro’ according to RPM Motorsports.
After putting just 100 miles on their brand new Camaro, the guys at RPM Motorsports began installing the new high-performance components with the help of some friends at Nitrous Outlet, Lingenfelter Performance Engineering, Kooks Headers and Exhaust, and Weld Racing. For the company’s new Camaro to achieve a 10-second-flat quarter-mile time with a trap of 137.36 MPH, the car had to be upgraded with some mild, yet tasteful modifications.
At the time of the run in the video, RPM Motorsport’s Camaro was outfitted with a pair of ported OEM cylinder heads by Lingenfelter, along with a Lingenfelter camshaft, a pair of Kooks headers and a full Kooks 3-inch exhaust, a MSD Air Force intake system, a Nitrous Outlet LT1 90mm wet plate 150 shot kit, and a set of Weld RT-S wheels and Mickey Thompson drag radials. The transmission as well as the rest of the engine remains stock.
If you ask us, there’s no doubt in our minds that this Camaro will see the a 9-second pass very soon. The race is on to see who can hit the first major milestones with the all new Camaro, right now it looks as though the fastest ’16 belongs to RPM Motorsports.
