Remember when you used to compare your father to those of the other kids’ dads? Whether it was how often he took you to Disneyland, the times he let you watch TV late at night, or even drink soda for breakfast, your dad was the best, and you let it be known.
Here to offer their pop up for contention are Gabe and Garrett, who give us a glimpse every week into what it’s like to live the good life in California. As the subjects of ongoing documentation via the popular YouTube channel “Gabe and Garrett,” the eponymous duo get to open and play with all sorts of toys, games, and other amusements as the dad records and edits their hilarious antics.
The topic at hand in this video is a “Bumblebee” Camaro SS, and the boys are accordingly dressed in their best Transformers garb. After a brief sequence depicting the assembly of the Camaro, it’s off to the nearby park, where the boys get to show off their new toy.
A little vignette demonstrates all that the miniature musclecar has to offer, including the dashboard’s many sound-based features. These include a horn, indicator, starting the “engine,” and engine revving noise.
There’s even a fully functional radio and MP3 audio system, enhancing the feeling of authenticity and making sure the kids can rock out if the mood strikes.
The final act sees the brothers engage in a little sidewalk racing and impromptu destruction derby. And though the little Camaros top out at just 5 MPH on a full charge, to these children, it’s probably about as close as they’ll get to driving these performance machines until they’re old enough for a drivers’ license; stay strong, you kids.
