The General’s been known for pumping out some of the most memorable and enthusiast-inspiring vehicles. They’re also known for designing and building some of the most rock-solid utilitarian vehicles, too. GM’s complete line of trucks are essentially what this country was built on. Whether owners were towing or hauling goods, it’s the idea and use of a truck that really gets the job done.

The best part, GM pumped out hundreds of thousands of these trucks, some of which are still driven to this day in factory trim. By the early 70’s, GM was filtering in lots of these trucks with potent small- and big-block powerplants. Of course, this meant the addition of a few select modifications could turn these seemingly bland utilitarian trucks into street/strip vehicles in no time at all.

While America was gobbling up these great pickups, Australia, too, was getting a hefty amount of these trucks as well. With lots of underhood real estate, swapping in a more potent mill into tired old trucks is nothing more than a weekend job. Of course, when it comes to the Australians, nothing is left from the table.

Case in point, the Australian Summernationals, which take place every year. With ridiculous vehicles showing up to the event, we weren’t surprised when we discovered the highly-modified C-10 shredding some tires.
