YouTube has a knack of making the most unlikely videos go viral and become overnight sensations. Remember “Charlie bit my finger?” The toddler whose teething baby brother chomped down on his finger. In four years, that video has been viewed over four-and-a-half million times. An unlikely success story.

Video synopsis: Angry Grandpa sees a 1955 Chevrolet BelAir int he parking lot, shares a memory, takes a photo with the car. Later he is gifted the car and breaks down in tears. Then Angry Grandpa drives away.
On December 13, a video from the Angry Grandpa YouTube show was uploaded featuring the Angry Grandpa character getting a ’55 Chevy Bel Air for Christmas. For some unknown reason, that video has captured the hearts of YouTube viewers to the tune of almost two million views in the past three days.
We checked the other uploads from the Angry Grandpa Show, and really found no reason that this video would become on of those overnight sensations. Our best guess is: The car is actually the star of the video. That is the only thing that makes sense to us at Rod Authority.
We’d love to know who restored the car, and by the sounds of the engine on the video, they did a full resto, including the drivetrain. The car sounds great. Even Angry Grandpa sounds legit in this video.
While we don’t know if this is a true story, it is a good one, and we only hope that what was presented in the video was honest. That would restore our hope in humanity and the belief that Santa Claus does exist.
