Our friends at RK Motors Charlotte have another gem in their expansive inventory of classic and unique cars. Restored in 2010 and refreshed in 2013, we have here a fully-custom 1969 Chevrolet Camaro built from the ground up.
Featured in the June 2010 issue of Camaro Performers Magazine, this Camaro has caught the eye of the car community even with its minimalist approach. Its garnet red paint is quite neutral, avoiding the attention of a flashier, brighter red drip.
Leaning for simplicity over style, this Camaro is different from the bunch we’ve seen. Debadged and dechromed, this Camaro poses as a low-profile vehicle that won’t attract too much attention. At least not until the engine is revved, a Donovan Engineering 427 cubic-inch V8 engine that pours out an astounding 505 horsepower.
With all that power under the hood, this Camaro is in a sense a sleeper. There’s no blower or extravagant body kit, just a stock Camaro body with something beastly lurking inside.
Power hits the pavement with Tremec TKO600 5-speed manual transmission and Centerforce clutch. What’s more, 18-inch Fikse Profil 5 wheels spin wildly from all the power generated by the Camaro.
A blend of old and modern design, this Camaro is up to date inside and out. The black leather interior is immaculate and features Flo-Fit bucket seats, Auto Meter Phantom telemetry, and a Billet Specialties steering wheel.
