Just in time for summer, we found the ultimate ride along video of a 2,000 HP Camaro as it exceeds 250 MPH at the Texas Mile. This is the very same 4th Gen Camaro built by LMR that holds the top speed record of 253 MPH at the Texas Mile, and features a 461ci LSx engine with twin turbos and 2,000 horsepower.
In this video High Tech Corvette posted to YouTube, we get four simultaneous views of LMR’s 4th Gen running the Texas Mile with an array of GoPro’s all over the car – one on either side of the chute, one over looking the hood and the other filming the driver – giving your eyes the delight of an extremely quick LSX Camaro through the four different lenses. It’s almost just like you’re watching the run on a video game console.
As the driver launches, you can watch all the crew guys quickly cover their ears. However, luckily enough for us, the sound is clear enough to hear the innards of literally a TON of horsepower roar to life as he shifts through the gears to achieve his top speed of 251 MPH. So check out the video here to see this ultra powerful Camaro blasting down the Texas Mile at near record-breaking speeds.
