We stumbled across a video from Streetside Classics, that features a prime example of a first generation Chevy C10 pickup truck from 1965. 

This video is perfect to showcase the classic Chevy Truck because there is no dialog at all. All that you see and hear is the beauty of this truck that was created almost 50 years ago. 

A quick check of the site shows that the asking price is $26,995. Sound high? Consider this: The truck has the original 283cid V8 engine and manual transmission. The odometer reads 33,876 miles, which the seller verifies as actual miles. The truck is complete and even comes with the original bill of sale and owner’s manual.

Also listed in the sales specs is an AM radio, cloth interior, defroster and heater. 

The C10 Chevy pickups introduced a new body style to pickup trucks in the early 60s. This new body style featured a drop-center ladder frame which allowed the cab to sit lower. The lower cab combined with the new independent front suspension gave the truck an almost car-like ride that was unthinkable at that time.

This flatside version appears to be all original, from the badging to the interior. The black and tan color interior seems to be the most common in the first gen later years. The three on the tree shifter tells us that the three speed transmission option is installed. Exterior factory colors included sky blue, cream and white, so this paint job is period correct as far as we can tell. 

The only questionable thing that we could see is the wheels. On the 1965 Chevy C10, the wheels were painted the same color as the truck’s body. Stock wheels featured dog-dish hubcaps and whitewall trim. Standard bumpers on these trucks were white bumpers but chrome options and modifications are common.
