A few weeks back, we visited Temecula, California to visit Old Town’s epic rod run, one that has become a cherished fan favorite to the Wine Country’s rod and custom community. We were stoked that we got to check-out some of the West Coast’s best in rodding excellence, but we also dig the fact that the Front Street Rod Run gave back to its community.
That spirit of charity is one that has extended itself throughout Southern California’s hot rod community. The Thousand Oaks community has combined forces with other Conejo Valley locals to bring the Oaks Plaza Cruzzz-In to Thousand Oaks, held on the third Sunday of every month from 12-4 p.m.
This monthly Cruzzz-In brings together some of Conejo’s most distinguished players of the rod and custom scene, but it also gives enthusiasts the chance to enjoy great food and music, along with an opportunity to donate a bag of groceries to help the needy. For your generous support, the Cruzzz-In also promises $50 in purchase credit, just as a cool way of saying “thanks.”
Oaks Plaza’s rod meet also offers ample opportunity to bring home a trophy for your cool cruiser, and for those who live in the San Fernando Valley, Thousand Oaks’ Cruizzz-In is just a 101 freeway away from all of the car-crazed action. The Oaks venue is located on 2920 East Thousand Oaks Boulevard, and the event is held at the corner of Skyline Drive, one block west of Hampshire Road.
If you’re in the Conejo Valley and looking for a local rod meet where you can network and make new friends, then be sure to check out the Oaks Plaza Cruzzz-In. Once you get there, be sure to let us know what you think. We’re looking forward to bringing you some live coverage of this event, stay tuned!
