Signing Off: The Last Camaro

Chevrolet officially ended Camaro production in December of 2023 for the 2024 model year, and even then, it was a half year with low production volume. While the final sixth-generation models rolled off the line about six months ago, one brand-new 2024 Camaro still remains for sale, according to GM Authority via Chevrolet’s official inventory. This last example of the legendary American muscle car is currently available at a dealership in New Mexico – the last Camaro could be yours.

The last Camaro is a 2SS coupe powered by the 6.2-liter LT1 V8, making 455 horsepower and 455 lb-ft of torque. It’s located on the showroom floor at Permian Chevrolet in Hobbs, New Mexico. It’s finished in Summit White with a Jet Black leather interior and features a 10-speed automatic transmission. Optioned as a comfortable, stylish cruiser, it is being offered with a sticker price of $59,205.

This SS isn’t just a base model, it’s a 2SS that’s nicely optioned as well. It rides on 5-spoke gloss black alloy SS wheels with red outline pinstriping measuring 20×8.5 inches in the front and 20×9.5 inches in the rear with Goodyear Eagle F1 summer tires. It’s been optioned with Magnetic Ride Control for stiff suspension for spirited drives on the back roads and soft suspension for the cruise home at the flick of a button and dual-mode performance exhaust to get the best worlds of the 455-horsepower LT1, you can have it quiet or hear all eight cylinders roaring.

A Performance brake package with black Brembo monoblock 6-piston front calipers and 4-piston rear calipers matches the rest of the performance options. To finish off the leather-trimmed interior, it features a carbon fiber shift cap on the 10-speed shifter and all-weather rubber floor mats to keep the carpet in mint condition while the future owner enjoys the last Camaro ever sold.

We covered the last two ZL1s a while back, only one of which was a 10-speed auto and the other a 6-speed manual, but the last Camaro ever sold new being an LT1-powered SS is fitting for a final signoff to Chevrolet muscle car (or pony car, depending on who you ask).
