If you’ve ever wanted to own a pro-touring muscle car but just don’t have the time to put the work into it yourself, you may be in luck. An opportunity to buy what may be the car of your dreams has just presented itself on Pro-Touring.com. Not only is the car a fantastic example of pro-touring style, the car is also well known on many websites and has even been featured in Popular Hot Rodding.
The car for sale is the acclaimed “OrangeCrush”- a fully modified ‘69 Chevelle SS owned by Dave Harless. After a full frame-off restoration, which included powder coating the frame, the Chevelle has acquired only 7,000 miles. The car is equipped with a 454cui big-block with less than 500 miles on it, Edelbrock aluminum heads and an Eagle steel crank, as well as a Melling oil pump, Lunati camshaft, Demon Carb 750cfm carburetor, MSD Ignition 6AL and Edelbrock dual plane Airgap Manifold. The engine is matted to a Bowtie Overdrives 200-4R transmission with a transmission cooler.
Other notable upgrades made to the Chevelle are a Hydratech Hydro-Boost braking system, Moroso race oil pan and KRC power steering pump system. Performance suspension components used on the car include AFCO 950lbs front springs, Moroso 175lbs rear springs, ATS aluminum spindles, front and rear sway bars from Hotchkis, QA1 12-way adjustable shocks and upper/lower control arms from Global West.
The interior of the Chevelle features custom upholstery and a Covan dash with AutoMeter gauges. Finished off in Sun Burst Orange exterior paint, the Chevelle is very deserving of its OrangeCrush designation. The car sits atop CenterLine racing wheels with Kumho tires. Surprisingly, the asking price for the Chevelle is a reasonable $30,000. Not to bad when you consider the upgrades that have been done to the SS.
