As car guys,we all have a fussy side to us and although we might not freely admit it, that’s half the fun of the hobby. Whether its building a car from scratch, finding just the right rims or ordering exotic car wash potions from across the country, we’ve all done time in anal retentive-ville.
Well forget that. This 1981 G-body Malibu 4-door is the antithesis of fussiness. The guy who built this car says “It’s not a piece of fine china, it’s just a f*@kin’ car. So what if you break it?” Sound likes fun. Find out more and see the hoonage at ProTouring.com.
Evidently, 2-door G-bodies are sparse in the fly over states so the owner deemed this 4-door acceptable and began his low-brow build. Located in Michigan state, this squatty old ‘Bu gets it’s no frills look from an unlikely combination of “Formal” GM styling, suede black paint and mis-matched wheels tires. Running small-block power and built on a shoestring budget, the owner says he runs this thing full tilt at autocross, drifting, and track events and makes mods and tweaks as he goes along. And he’s having a blast.
It’s cool that someone saved this old 4-door G-body and it’s cool to have a hip, odd-ball body style. What’s really cool though, is how awesome Uncle Bob’s old Chevy sedan looks in a four wheel power slide.
