Installing an LS into a car or truck is no simple task. One of the many challenges when doing an engine swap is making sure everything fits. In most cases, you will be installing a modern engine in a car that it was not designed to house. Usually, it’s a smaller engine bay where everything is going to be a tight fit. To make matters worse, you also have to route the exhaust, figure out the accessory drive, and run all of the electronics to control the new power plant.
Concept ONE has just released a new product that will make your life a little easier when it comes to transporting the new mill in one of those cramped engine compartments. They have developed an adapter housing kit that mounts the Mass Air Flow (MAFS) directly on an LS2 or LS3 throttle body.
The billet aluminum housing includes a new Delphi Mass Air Flow Sensor, Edelbrock air cleaner, and all of the mounting hardware. The overall size of the unit is 6.25 inches. If space allows, Concept ONE also offers a larger air filter unit that you can use on your project.
The housing is simple to install and offers the following benefits:
• Helps with limited space between throttle body and radiator
• Eliminates plumbing from the Mass Air Sensor to the throttle body
• Provides a super clean look
• Offers simple installation in just minutes
• Large and small air filters available
• 4 finishes to choose from
• Adapter plugs available for different harness connections
The Mass Air Flow Sensor housing is available in four different finishes, including machined, polished, black anodized, and clear anodized. Upgrade your engine compartment today and see the difference Concept ONE’s attention to fit, function & performance can make.
