Carlisle Events, organizer of several auto enthusiast events in Central Pennsylvania, recently purchased the IAC Industrial Campus, a 48-acre site adjacent to the Carlisle Fairgrounds. The site is reported to include nearly 900,000 square feet of building space and a 23-acre paved and lighted parking lot.
“Carlisle Events has experienced substantial growth over the last 36 years and this purchase seemed like the next logical step in the evolution of our company,” Carlisle Events co-owner Lance Miller explained. “The ability to use a portion of the property to provide ample parking for our guests throughout the car show season is beneficial to our future.”
The company stages ten classic vehicle events each year at the fairgrounds, attracting half a million enthusiasts. The 2011 season opens with the Spring Carlisle Collector Car Swap Meet & Corral, April 27 to May 1, next year. The organizer will continue to use the acreage between Clay Street and Spring Road for additional parking during events.
In addition to the schedule of car shows, Carlisle Events also runs two Collector Car Auctions at the Carlisle Expo Center. More information is available at the company web site.
