We’re not even through the first quarter of 2012, but you had better believe that shops, designers, and OEM’s the world over are already gearing up for November’s SEMA show. It’s the most outlandish car show on the planet, where builders go all out on custom creations in a bid to grab the attention of the media and potential clients.
So it doesn’t surprise us in the least to read that Swedish car designer Bo Zolland is already hard at work on his SEMA 2012 project. Carscoop reports that the car will be a custom ‘68 Camaro powered by a LS3 V8. It’s not secret that the Swedes love American muscle, and Zolland is no stranger to classic cars. Though all we have are some (very pretty) renderings right now, the final finished product will feature extensive body modifications, including a completely original roofline.
Other mods apparent in the renderings are a cowl induction hood, oddly flared fenders, and a side-exit exhaust. Motivating this custom Camaro will be a supercharged LS3 V8 engine, which should be good for at least 600 horsepower.
Much of the suspension, chassis, and braking components were borrowed from a C6 Corvette, and the whole thing has been slammed to the ground. We like what we see so far, but we can’t wait to see it in person this November at the 2012 SEMA show. Check out the rest of Zolland’s renderings below. They’re amazing! Which one is your favorite?
