At their 27th visit to SEMA, Del City has become a company that should be on everyone’s favorites list when it comes to wiring and electrical work. They provide just about anything you’ll need to connect electrical components, allowing you to build your own harness or repair an existing one with correct factory-type connectors.
Always stepping up their game, they brought woven heat shrink fabric for covering harnesses that can be cut with scissors but doesn’t fray when heat is applied. The durable fabric remains flexible enough to route wires where they need to go, but is durable enough to help protect wires from chaffing, all the while keeping harnesses looking clean and sharp.
Another product that they brought out is one that every gearhead should have in his arsenal. How many times have you tried to find something, or inspect something under your car, and those small dental mirrors just won’t cut it? For just under $130.00, Del City showed us their wireless camera that is small enough to get just about anywhere, with a flexible shaft that allows the camera to be snaked into the smallest areas.
For you techie junkies, the free app can be downloaded to your smart phone where you can see into places that you never could before. We’re told that plans will include a smaller camera and a longer reach in the coming months, so keep an eye out for it on the Del City website where you can find these and other useful products for the shop or garage, like the magnet-based LED lamp for working under the hood… or under the car. The strong magnetic base will keep the high-powered LED lamp where you put it, and provide hand-free lighting.
