Are you looking to build yourself your very own donk? QA1 has you covered with their specialized big wheel suspension components. In fact, they had their wares perfectly complimenting the stance of the Fire Donk on display at PRI 2022.
Powered by a turbocharged Texas Speed & Performance 427 cubic inch LS engine, Street Outlaws’ Shawn “Murder Nova” Ellington’s Fire Donk made a statement at this year’s PRI trade show. Sporting a crisp white paint job with plenty of red throughout the interior, wheels, and engine bay, this donk will certainly leave no head unturned.
In the typical donk fashion, Murder Nova’s Fire Donk sits on large 26-inch Corleone Forged chrome wheels, which one could assume would be less than the ideal wheel and tire package for drag racing. This is where QA1 comes in. Due to the overwhelming interest in drag racing of these custom big wheel cars, QA1 has an entire line of parts specifically designed and engineered to get these land yachts to hook up on thin sidewall-hard tires in the rear and have proper suspension geometry in the front. In addition to the big wheel specific suspension components, QA1 also offers various coilovers to fit the cars known as donks, boxes, and bubbles. The Fire Donk runs the company’s flagship MOD Series coilovers on the front and the rear for maximum performance and adjustability.
This suspension kit is suitable for wheel sizes all the way up to 28 inches! The QA1 tubular control arms allow for better drivability thanks to upgraded front-end geometry. Being that these are stronger and lighter than that found in the stock car, you’ll be able to enjoy your donk while not significantly sacrificing any handling.
The MOD-Series coilovers give you the ability to perfectly adjust your ride height, with two inches of adjustability on the front and a total of five inches in the rear (two inches higher than stock and three inches lower than stock), truly giving you the opportunity to make your ride your own. QA1 coilovers will give you the freedom to create a drag-racing monster or a low-speed cruiser.
Arguably the best part of the QA1 kit found on the Fire Donk is its easy, bolt-on installation. The parts come pre-powder coated and can be bolted on from the comfort of your garage. With the help of QA1, these big-wheeled cars that don’t look like the typical drag car can have the same high-end suspension components and adjustability found on race cars. The Fire Donk is the perfect example of having your cake and eating it too.
