We were one of the first to bring you the news that Chevrolet Performance had just taken the wraps off of their new LT376 at SEMA 2016, and now we have some even better news; Chevrolet is now offering the LT376 in one of their immensely popular Connect & Cruise packages.
As a short refresher, the LT376 is rated at 535 horsepower and has been endowed with a fairly large cam, giving the mill a healthy lope. The heads have also been CNC ported to provide increased airflow. Dude to the larger lift on the cam, the Active Fuel Management and variable valve timing have been disabled.
The Connect & Cruise packages comes with almost everything you need to get a modern mill up and running in virtually any application you could imagine. While it doesn’t include any of the physical hardware to mount the drivetrain to the vehicle, it does include everything else; right down to the transmission and fuse block.
“It’s top of the line power level,” said Bill Martens of Chevrolet Performance. “Is everyone going to need that? Maybe not, but if a customer is looking for something that makes great power, sounds great, and comes with what they need to get it running, this is the right one for them.”
The LT376 in the Connect & Cruise is backed by one of Chevrolet’s most potent transmissions to date, the 4L75-E. This transmission was also rolled out at SEMA and utilizes the same housing as the 4L60-E, but with vastly more capability.
The duo represents one of Chevrolet Performance’s most potent combinations in recent history. Not only do you get both a capable engine and transmission in the Connect & Cruise package, you also get every accessory you need to run them. That includes, ECM, TCM, oxygen sensors, pedal position sensor, map sensor, fuse block, and more.
