The 1969 Camaro is arguably, the most popular car ever produced by Chevrolet, and this restomodded version blends the timeless cool of old-school style with the high-tech creature comforts of today’s popular restomods.

When the ‘69 Camaro was new, the subframe was adequate for what designers envisioned the car would be doing every day. The LS376 engine is a high-output variant of the engine delivered within the fender constraints of the Corvette and Camaro SS. It’s rated at a tire-melting 480 horsepower and utilizes the lightweight advantage of an aluminum block and heads. The engine weighs-in at a paltry 404 pounds. That is significantly lighter than a traditional small block, and delivers more power to boot. When I drove the car, it had yet to be sent to Lingenfelter Performance Engineering to receive ported heads, performance camshaft, and tune.

The lightweight powerhouse is backed by a 4L70E overdrive automatic transmission to deliver relaxed highway cruising and the ability to launch like a rocket.

When you strap yourself into the pilot seat of this classic Camaro, you will be surrounded by the latest in restomod upgrades.
