2022 GM Nationals Returning To Carlisle This Weekend, June 24th!

A really great event is coming up and it’s one that has two of our favorite things, GM F-bodies, and quaint little east coast towns. If you’ve never been to Carlisle, Pennsylvania, you really owe it to yourself to check it out this weekend. Just west of Philly, it might as well be a million miles away from that troubled rat race. Think of leafy, tree-lined streets, a lazy old-school downtown, and friendly folks who aren’t in too big of a hurry to say hello. This little hamlet is also the home base for Carlisle Events, a family-owned outfit that is famous for its big production, crowd-pleasing shows.

According to the event promoters, “The Carlisle GM Nationals return to the Carlisle, PA, Fairgrounds (June 24-25) and with it, not only ushers in the summer season, but also continues Carlisle’s Summer of Muscle. For this year’s event, over 1,000 show cars will adorn the National Parts Depot Showfield and along the way, some of the rarest and most unique third-gen Camaros and Firebirds known to exist.”

Here is a sample of the F-bodies that will grace the fairgrounds this year. The last Camaro to ever roll off the Norwood assembly line and a 1991 SEMA show car built by John Moss, head of the GM Specialty Vehicles Group. This GM-commissioned Camaro is the only (non-Corvette) vehicle with an LT5 Dual Overhead Cam ZR-1 engine installed.

Joining this car will be Kyle Tucker of Detroit Speed. Tucker is bringing their famed DSE-Z Camaro build. In addition, YouTuber, Stan Kennedy (Fireball Mullet), will be generating some content, while also showcasing his modified IROC-Z, and finally, don’t miss a slew of stock and modified Camaros and Firebirds too.

Even better, many vendors will have third-gen-specific parts and include Camaro Central, Detroit Speed, and Hawks Motorsports. Finally, there will be a number of third-gen-specific seminars taking place in a tent just outside Building T, including some very special ones with on-site ambassadors Phil Borris, Gale Mains, and Dan Edwards. The gates open at 7:00 a.m. on the 24th. For more event info and to purchase tickets, go here.  See you there!
