Earlier this month at the 2011 SEMA Show, GM announced the arrival of their new “Connect and Cruise” crate packages, that include everything you need to drop in an LS based engine and an automatic transmission into your project car. Now, Pace Performance has set the pace by becoming the first retailer to offer these packages for sale to the public.
As you will remember, the Connect and Cruise packages come with your choices of either an LS3 and a 4L65E transmission or an LSA with a 4L85E trans, along with all the necessary electronics to run both, with one simple part number. If you’re anything like us, you were very curious as to what the pricing on these kits would end up being. Well, pace has the streetable 430 HP LS3 Connect and Cruise kit priced at $9,989, and the supercharged 556 HP LSA package priced at $19,569. Also, Pace is currently offering a rebate on both packages to celebrate their release. You can save $500 on the LS3 package, and a cool $750 off of the LSA package. Not bad considering that you could likely get your project Camaro on the ground and running with LS3 power for under ten grand. Or, if you’ve got the coin, you could follow the same path as the Dale Jr. 1970 Chevelle we saw at SEMA, powered by the LSA Connect and Cruise package.
