What would you do with unlimited money? Buy a big house? Sure. Finance a former-model trophy wife? Hell yes. Start a car collection of unimaginable breadth and scope? You betcha! Of course that would require acquiring some truly desirable, rare, and beautiful cars. And they had better be pristine if they are going to be worth all that money. But when it comes to finding an original, low-mileage muscle car, they are few and far between…especially if it is a Mustang, Charger, or Camaro.
So we weren’t surprised in the least when this 2,876 mile ‘69 Camaro RS/Z28 popped up on eBay with a Buy It Now price of $150,000. Hell, if anything, that’s low for a vehicle of this vintage.
This is a true, perfect survivor, cataloged in-depth by the owner and having had just one owner in 40 years. Even the original dealership that sold the car is still in business (albeit under a different name.) The documentation of this car proves that it has just 2,876 miles on it after more than 40 years on the road. That’s amazing, quite frankly. But is it believable?
Well according to the ad, the camshaft still bears the purple markings from the factory. Not only that, but this Camaro still wears its original oil filter. And boy is this car clean from front to back. It’s perfect. Not only is it perfect, but it also has the two most-desirable option packages for a ‘69 Camaro, the RS and Z28 packages with a Crossram intake. That alone makes it worth a ton of mine; but with so few miles, great documentation, and a rare color combination, don’t expect this eBay Camaro to last too long.
