No matter how you slice ’em, custom cars are are flat-out cool. Love it or hate them, needless to say, they grab a ton of attention. The point is, you can’t go wrong with a classic car. We’ve got to give credit to speedhunters.com’s Mike Garret for these awesome shots and having the eye to spot this way-down ’55 sled.

This ’55 custom hardtop two-door has one key identifiable feature…no posts (between the door windows). When the front and rear windows are lowered, the post hides down below in the door. Just roll all the windows down the cockpit becomes entirely open. It’s a creative design feature a creates a free-flowing environment.

The Radir Wheels and wide, white walls are a great touch. We’re a little miffed on the suspension, however, its low, and completely tucks the rear tire under the fender. This ride does benefit from a set of cross-drilled discs up front, too. These days, you don’t see a ton of manual transmission cars, although, this one is certainly sporting three-pedals. The body has been highly modified, too, with larger and more pronounced tail fins.
