Have you ever dreamed of owning the coolest Camaro in the world? Well, thanks to the latest eBay lot, you can. And we aren’t exaggerating- the Camaro up for bid has actually been given the name of the coolest in the world by Car Craft magazine.
Gracing the cover of Car Craft in April 2011, the ‘69 Camaro Z28 is the creation of the magazine and Muscle Car Restorations. Originally dubbed Project 99 for the 99 “genius ideas” put into the car, the Camaro is a modern twist on the muscle car without losing the essence of the classic Camaro.
The Coolest Camaro in the World sports a 5.7L aluminum LS1 long-block engine with everything done to it from a destroked crank to a custom Comp Cam camshaft and Hooker headers. It is safe to say that virtually every piece of the engine was beefed up, modified or tweaked in some fashion. The Camaro also has a custom-built 4L60e transmission, a Ford 9-inch rear end, Baer brakes and Detroit Speed suspension. By doing mini tubs and using aluminum components, the weight of the Camaro was reduced by over 430lbs.
With 99 “ideas” in the Camaro, every component of the car is detailed in the eBay listing. From the lights and interior, to the engine and suspension, this car was thoroughly planned out and executed. Not wonder the car was dubbed the coolest in the world.
While the Camaro may sound outrageously amazing, you will have to pay a pretty penny for the Coolest Camaro in the World designation. The “Buy it Now” price for the car is a whopping $165,000. You can also make an offer on the car through eBay but we doubt the Camaro will be sold for much less than asking price. If you’d like to buy the car or make an offer, the eBay lot will be available through September 14th. But don’t expect to get the Camaro right away if you do purchase it. The car has to complete its country-wide show tour before delivery can be arranged.
