When eBay first hit the scene, it took a while to build momentum. But once it did, it changed the face of how people buy and sell things on the internet. It also turned the world of project cars and parts hunting on its head, as eBay has become the go-to place when picking out a new project or hunting down a rare part. It’s also been a boon for car collectors and enthusiasts who have a whole world of automobilia opened before them.
On any given day there are literally hundreds of classic and modern Camaros for sale. Yet this eBay auction for a 1967 Camaro project car really got our attention…because it is almost complete.
What we have here is a mostly-complete 1967 Chevy Camaro, sans a working drive train. The car was apparently in the midst of a full-on restoration when the owner decided it was time to sell. Yet a lot of the hard work has already been done, including sandblasting the undercarriage and installing new fenders, quarter panels, valences, and decklid. In fact, there doesn’t appear to be a speck of dust anywhere on this Camaro.
This project Chevy also comes with a veritable cornucopia of parts to finish the car. Judging from the pictures, the winning bidder will get some new chrome, door panels, and lots of little bits and pieces needed to complete this Camaro. It also comes with a bare 427 block and some iron cylinder heads to start you off engine-wise, though you’re on your own as far as the transmission goes. Still, for the right price this is a project car that needs relatively little to get it back on the road. Does it have your name on it?
