Fidanza Performance‘s Ed Burgy, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, had a lot to be proud of at this year’s PRI tradeshow. “The big news is our new website is live. There’s more functionality, lots of tech, a FAQ page, catalog PDFs and lookups for part numbers and distributors,” he stated.
The first thing that you notice at the Fidanza display is green. So much green. “We call the color Atomic Green,” explained Burgy. “All our flywheels are now being shipped with a green coating as a protective measure. We always suggest wiping down the machined surface area to remove any grease or lubricant, but often a customer might miss it. With this coating, any oil or grease will show up. As soon as the clutch heats up the coating will flake off the friction surface and blow away.”
“We’ll also be going to a painted green pressure plate cover soon,” Burgy added. “It all gives us a unique look.”
“Another new item coming is a twin-disc clutch. It’ll be available with either organic or ceramic discs. The top will be machined out of 6061-T6 aluminum and anodized in green,” announced Burgy. “This program will start with the LS engine and later expand to the Mustang.”
Finally, for gamers, Fidanza has been working with the people that create games so that “video game players can modify their cars with Fidanza clutches in games like the Grid series.”
