Shrouded in secrecy, with rumors a swirl about the possible existence of a 2015 Chinese version Camaro RS Limited Edition, rumors were recently laid to rest upon the unveiling of this speculated ride at the 12th Guangzhou International Auto Show in China.
The Chinese Limited Edition Camaro, joined by 32 other models presented by the General Motors line-up, took center stage throughout the event. Showcasing its classic masculine style and keeping with its performance nature, the limited edition Camaro is dressed with an RS appearance package, that is enhanced with an all-new grille, taillamps, fog lamps, and exhaust set up.
Under the hood the RS limited edition is powered by the naturally-aspirated 3.6L V6 LFX engine with an estimated 323 horsepower hitting the pavement. Moving to the trim package the Chinese 2015 RS Camaro will also feature a new seat package, the Chevrolet MyLink infotainment system, which provides access to turn-by-turn navigation, along with advanced voice recognition, and smartphone integration as well.
It is said the Chevrolet Camaro RS Limited Edition, was inspired by the Camaro Concept that was portrayed as “Bumblebee” in Transformers: Age of Extinction. Chevrolet, looking to increase sales, hopes to gain profit from the Camaro’s image in the sci-fi franchise. It is expected the special edition Camaro will be released for sale by the end 2015 with only three hundred units available in China.
Expected to garner the attention of collectors from around the globe if you are in the market for this particular Camaro, Chevrolet will be taking pre-orders beginning sometime by the end of the year. However with only three hundred units available one will have to act fast, as we expect this special edition to move quickly into the market. Price still yet unknown, what would you pay for this Bumblebee inspired ride?
