In wake of the Goodguys Rod & Custom Association announcing the winner of the 2013/2014 Giveaway Car, a 1932 Deuce Coupe, the organization recently unveiled the next custom vehicle up for grabs. This time around, the giveaway vehicle is a 1970 Chevy pickup truck built by Scott’s Hot Rods of Oxnard, California dubbed the G-10. Check it out below!
Having been built over the last year, the Goodguys G-10 made its debut in fantastic fashion at the 17th PPG Nationals in Columbus, Ohio on July 12th. Built by Scott’s Hot Rods, this completely custom Chevy features a full Scott’s Hot Rods chassis and suspension system, as well as Billet Specialties Bonneville wheels, Diamond Back Classic tires, Wilwood brakes, Ridetech coilovers and LMC Trucks sheet metal.
In total, over 100 modifications can be found on the truck’s body alone.
Under the hood, the G-10 features a Lingenfelter LS3 engine with FAST injection. This is tied to a TCI transmission.
With PPG Midnight Blue paint and a Ron Mangus interior, this custom Chevy is more than just performance- it’s also about aesthetic value. Of course, being a Goodguys giveaway vehicle, that is to be expected.
The Goodguys G-10 will be given away next year at the 18th PPG Nationals in Columbus, Ohio, running from July 10th through the 12th. Prior to its appearance at the giveaway event, the truck will tour with the Goodguys Rod & Custom Association all over the country to their famed shows.
