Sometimes we can get a little too taken up with the products from tuner shops and professional conversion houses. The current tide of television shows could lead one to think that this is the only way to get a good job done. Well, this example is proof that such is not the case.
Most times, when setting out on a car customization project, it is beyond helpful to have a plan or theme because that helps to keep things from getting out of hand.
Certainly, one of the more recognizable themes is the “Bumblebee” Camaro from the Transformers movie franchise.
You’ll see in the photos that this owner went a long way to get it right. Bodywork changes include a custom ventilated hood, new front fascia and splitter, as well as side skirts and a dramatic new diffuser.
Updating the rear wing as well as the wheel and tire package completes the new look, which becomes fully integrated once the matte yellow and black paint job was complete.
There’s little doubt that this Camaro turns heads wherever it goes and brings a smile to those who are familiar with the Transformers series. Who knows, the car might even get its owner a front of the line ticket for the upcoming release of Transformers: Dark of the Moon in July.
The newest release brings back several familiar names and introduces new talent as well. Of high interest is that original Star Trek co-star Leonard Nimoy will lend his voice as that of “Sentinel Prime” in the movie. Dark of the Moon is due in domestic theaters on July 1st.
