Doug M. is a recent employee at Hotchkis Sport Suspension, in Santa Fe Springs, CA. He liked the products so much, he went to work for the company. Doug is also the long standing owner of a ’67 Chevelle SS and has been riding on Hotchkis components since he took the car to Steve Strope over at PureVision Design for some work.

In his own words, Doug explains, “I wanted to keep the car looking like it could have been modded during the late 60’s. Having Purevision perform the work added the finishing touches to the car (I guess I should say to its current condition, they’re never really finished are they?).”

His plans were to bring the car back to life as a modified car that he could drive the wheels off. At PureVision, the big block Chevelle received a Hotchkis Total Vehicle System (TVS) in addition to Hotchkis upper control arms. The Hotchkis TVS includes sport coil springs, sport sway bars, heavy duty tie rod sleeves and an adjustable rear suspension package. By matching suspension components Hotchkis ensures balanced handling performance in a bolt on kit.

While the 396cui engine remains largely unmolested, Doug also had PureVision install a rebuilt Muncie transmission, rebuilt clutch and a new rear axle with positraction and 3.42 gears. Sounds to us like this Chevelle is going to be perfectly equipped for ripping around the hills and routes around Los Angeles.

Since the work was completed by PureVision, the Chevelle has been lowered and has some new wheels. We’re betting that there’s more afoot now that Doug spends a lot more time at Hotchkis.
