Americans are relentlessly creative when it comes to enjoying their cars, and mudding is an offshoot of the off-roading culture, with an emphasis on that dirty dirty. To be an effective mudder calls for a tall, four-wheel drive vehicle with lots of torque. Naturally most people gravitate towards trucks or SUVs, but there are those daring few who prefer a custom ride.
Custom rides like this 4×4 Camaro, one of the many entrants at the Havoc in the Hills Mud Bog muddin’ event in Georgetown, West Virginia. While there were plenty of jacked-up trucks, seeing a third-generation Camaro tearing through a mud bog is a special treat indeed in this video from Hillbillyproud.
There is unfortunately absolutely no information to go on other than this video, and Google searches have proven fruitless in our search for details. We can tell you that on the other Camaro-turned-mudder builds we’ve seen, the most popular chassis used is from the K5 Chevy Blazer. Seeing as how this is a mid-80s Camaro, a Blazer or other truck chassis is the most likely scenario here.
The Camaro starts the muddin’ video off, and then doesn’t make another appearance until the 3:40 mark of the video. It makes easy work of the mud bog both times though, and the crowd goes wild for the mud-covered Camaro. It certainly isn’t something you see every day, especially at a mud bog.
