It has only been a couple of weeks since Chevrolet announced the reintroduction of the Z/28 to the company’s sport car lineup, with the classic nameplate set to hit the market for 2014, but folks have already been on the lookout for the American beast out testing in camouflage. Surprisingly or not, publication BridgeToGantry.com was successful in their search, according to GM Authority, and actually managed to capture the next-generation American icon testing at the Nürburgring. Check it out above.

Although the clip of the car testing is brief (a mere 45 seconds), the Z/28 is easy to pick out despite its black and white cloak. On the front, you’ll see the added hood vent specific to the Z, while the rear sports the car’s already notorious spoiler. Of course, one can’t also help but notice the defined splitter branching off the front end of the car.

Apparently the car was testing on the Nürburgring Nordschleife track, a challenging 12.93-mile course.

While the Camaro’s official track times for the Ring have not been announced, we’re sure that GM is itching to reveal those stats soon. For now, however, we’ll just have to make guesses as to what the newest Z/28 ran, judging, of course, on the fact that the new Camaro addition recently outran the ZR1 by an average of three seconds on GM’s 2.9-mile Milford Race Course.
