Now, the story of half a decade of automotive groundbreaking is in one place with the release of “Hurst Equipped: More Than 50 Years of High Performance,” a book that tells the complete history of all things Hurst.

Authored by veteran magazine editor Richard Truesdell co-author Mark Fletcher, “Hurst Equipped” is available in a limited edition version that features a leather-bound cover with gold foil logos and each of the 500 available commemorative copies is numbered to make it a one-of-a-kind collector’s piece.

Inside the pages of “Hurst Equipped,” the authors give the full story, from the production vehicles and racecars to the shifters and performance parts, through first-person historical accounts from Truesdell combined with interviews and in-depth research. “Hurst Equipped” is the first book to document how the innovator George Hurst turned his love of hot rods into one of the most recognizable names in the automotive aftermarket.
