Most people think of the ‘great compromise’ as an agreement which was critical to the formation of the Constitution of the United States. Poland now has their own ‘great compromise,’ police in the city of Lodz have compromised with the local motoring club, to make select city streets open at night for racing and showing off their cars.
Yea – get it. Sanctioned street racing on the streets of Poland. Pretty sweet, huh. Check out the streets below that they tear up and down? Not exactly 7 second material…
“We’ve come to an understanding with the organizers of the illegal races,” said the head of the club, Lech Ryszewski.
“The motoring club has created a Street Legal section, which will organize the races in closed off streets, under the supervision of licensed organizers and judges. In return, participants are obliged to make sure no-one organizes similar races on city streets.”
Now that’s what I call a compromise!
