Max Amp Alternators For SBC, BBC, And LS Engines

Tuff Stuff’s Max Amp alternators are a direct-fit replacement for nearly all GM alternators used from 1963 through 1994, including the 10DN, 10SI, and CS130. They keep the same form factor but pack a serious punch with up to 165 amps at idle and 225 amps at full charge. That’s more than enough to keep pace with high-draw accessories common on today’s upgraded muscle cars and trucks.

For installation flexibility, these alternators are available in both 1-wire and OEM hookup styles. Each comes with an internal voltage regulator, and the OEM-style units include wiring adapters for 10SI and CS130 applications. To suit different builds, customers can choose from premium finishes such as chrome-plated, black powder-coated, or Factory Cast PLUS+. For safe and reliable operation, Tuff Stuff recommends using a #4- or #2-gauge charge wire, depending on length.

Available in the same finishes as the Max Amp line, they blend function with a clean, custom look.
