Okay, maybe a show isn’t the most practical place to work on your classic ride. But that’s exactly how easy this United Pacific headlight conversion truly is. 

As traditionalists, we’ve all debated the merits of leaving components factory or upgrading them with decades newer and often better technology. While the choice between things like carburetors and fuel injection or Rally Wheels and billets often comes down to personal taste, upgrading the safety of your ride is always a good idea. One of the most basic tenets of old car safety is lighting.

The product featured is United Pacific’s Ultralit 7-inch LED Projection headlight with dual color halo & vintage lens design. And the install is probably even simpler than you think.

Once the old halogen bulb is removed, Yeah Buddy simply pops in the LED housing and secures the plug-style adapter to the Blazer’s existing harness. That’s right! No wiring or splicing or soldering or taping – this kit is literally a plug-and-play upgrade. That said, it should be noted that the plug-and-play wiring configuration automatically utilizes the kit’s integrated halos as amber turn signals. To fully delete or manually control the halos, through a switch, for example, you’ll need to do a bit of hard wiring. And while Yeah Buddy’s install on Bazer the Blazer looks great, UPI does recommend trimming the headlight housing to get a truly flush fit.
