Art Morrison Releases 1963-67 Corvette Stingray GT Sport Chassis

New from Art Morrison – the 1963-67 Corvette Stingray GT Sport chassis. This chassis offers significant improvements in handling and ride while accommodating a lower ride height and use of wider tires. See more details below.

Official Release:

Highly respected chassis and suspension manufacturer Art Morrison Enterprises has added to its line of “bolt on” GT Sport chassis with a superbly engineered gem for the iconic 1963-67 Corvette Stingray. This, the 11th in AME’s series of GT Sport chassis engineered to replace OEM frames, features the latest in 3D laser scanning technology.

While the original Stingray did feature independent front and rear suspensions, Morrison’s engineering team has supplanted the 50-year-old designs with AME’s Multi-Link I.R.S. and the acclaimed Sport I.F.S. which offer significant improvements in handling and ride. The track width is slightly narrower than stock, which accommodates a lower ride height and use of wider tires. Chassis can be configured with ride heights either 1-3/4″ or 3″ lower than OEM. The lower CG is, of course, an important handling benefit.

The frame boasts a triangulated structure that significantly stiffens the front end, has hefty 0.180″ wall rails, and special rear gussets to reduce torsional twist. Other features include crossmember passageways for the exhaust and mounts for SBC, BBC, or LS/LT series engines and all popular automatic and standard shift transmissions.

Representing the epitome of what a restomod is all about, AME’s new GT Sport chassis for C2 ‘Vettes combines contemporary handling, ride and stance with the Stingray’s classic styling.

Features:

  • Multi-Link I.R.S
  • Significant improvements in handling and ride
  • Accommodates a lower ride height and use of wider tires
