Let’s all agree on something; a car thief is an evil and unwelcome parasite to those of us in the hobby. Anybody who has put their heart, money, time, and more often than not, their soul into a project car only to have it stolen out of a parking lot or even their own driveway knows what I’m talking about.
There seems to be a rash of car thieves ripping off collectible muscle cars lately, and now another one just popped up on our radar; a ’72 Chevelle SS belonging to an Antelope, California resident three nights ago.
The story was shared via Facebook through the owner’s neighbor, Nick Lamb, who also had some personal items stolen from his pickup truck.
The Chevelle in question is equipped with the factory cowl induction hood, a built 383 SBC (built by Lamb) and it’s sprayed in a gold hue with black stripes. Unfortunately, the only two pictures we could get our hands on are the two featured in this article, which were also provided by Nick.
So we urge all of you to be on the lookout for this car with California plates “FST MVR 2” and if you do in fact see it, call the police and the owner at (916) 719-5917, and help all of us rid the world of one more parasite and return a classic muscle car to its rightful owner.
