You see, when there’s a large circle of people standing around watching somebody hooning their car in a public place, it might not be best to hang out in the midst of it, let alone be there at all.
In this video posted on Vimeo by RIDES Magazine, we see a 4th gen F-body Camaro producing some tire smoke in the glorious form of donuts, and yes, the car had wheels larger than 20-inches – just for the record. Harmless, right? Not exactly. Everyone has that one friend who is always inclined to get the best possible amateur photo or video on their phone or camera. That’s all well and good, but when that friend goes to the extent of moving to the inner circle to get some close-ups of the action so he can say that his video is better than yours, that’s when things get interesting.
Judging from how far the guy flew and the sound the crowd made, it looked like a pretty hard hit – we can’t tell from the short video if he was severely injured or just has a little boo-boo, but his femur has to be bruised. We also don’t doubt that his ego is bruised either.
Because of the video being so short in length, it leaves us with some questions: How much tread is left on the Camaro’s rubber-band tires? Is there any damage to the quarter panel or the sweet custom paint? We’re guessing there isn’t much damage, being that the F-body Camaros are pretty solid cars in the first place, but who knows.
Hopefully this guy learned his lesson. We’re glad to see that it wasn’t more serious of an accident. Be safe out there, folks!
