Ah, yes! 2015 Corvette Z06 deliveries are right around the corner, which means that we’ll be seeing some on the street and maybe even get to play with one soon (hint hint, Chevy).
Via our friends over at CorvetteBlogger, we find that the order guide for 2015 Corvettes has been updated and there are a few vital details about the Z06 in there. First of all, the curb weight of the Z06 is right around where we thought it would be, and for a car with 650 horsepower and heaps of technological gadgets, it’s looking to be a winner as if it weren’t already one from the day it was revealed.
The difference in curb weight is 226 pounds – not too much from the Stingray coupe, being that there is a new supercharged engine under the hood and some different plumbing and technology to account for. As far as the convertible models go, the Z06 Convertible weighs more than the Stingray Convertible by 220 pounds, most likely for the same differences as the Z06 coupe, but there is a carbon fiber tonneau insert package that could possibly save a little more weight.
Other new options for the Z06 include Shark Gray (EFX) or body color-painted exterior vents (EFY), clear protective film option (WA8), OnStar with 4G LTE (VV4), and a carbon fiber ground effects option (CFV) like that of the Z07 package, but gets cancelled out once you check the box for the Z07 package.
Another new option that struck us wrong is the other carbon fiber ground effects package (CFZ), which isn’t carbon fiber, but carbon-flash painted – why put imitation carbon on the car when it is embellished with carbon fiber in the first place? Such confuse.
