DEI now has precut kits for the 1st Gen Camaro and Firebird that makes the install nice and easy. With Boom Mat dampening, Under Carpet light, and D-Mat keep everything quiet and cool. All material is CNC cut to an exact fit. Boom Mat tape can be used to secure wires within the passenger compartment.

The Boom Mat dampening material is constructed of a viscoelastic polymer layer protected by a durable aluminum wear surface and a strong adhesive backing that is unaffected by extreme hot and cold temperatures. The dampening material can be applied to horizontal, vertical and inverted areas on metal, plastic, fiberglass and most other automotive surfaces, but is specifically cut for the Gen 1 F-Body in this kit.

The Under Carpet light product is a second layer sound deadening and insulation mat that will helps maintain a quality ride experience by preventing unwanted noise from being transferred into the vehicle’s interior.  In addition to its sound deadening properties, this two layer acoustic material provides superior insulation keeping vehicles cool in the heat of summer, and warmer in cold temperature climates. This is also precut specifically for the Gen 1 F-Body Camaro and Firebirds.
