Brick Builder is a YouTube channel that regularly features lego builds and reviews. The subject of the video featured above is a Lego Technic Hot Rod kit. PN: 42022 features some pretty nifty moving parts which is a major selling point for Lego’s Technic line.
Some of the other kits available in the Technic line are a twin-rotor helicopter, a mobile crane MKII, a moto cross bike, and even a logging truck. The specified age range for these kits are 9-16 but let’s be real–some of these kits are pretty sweet and we’re sure 20-80 year olds around the country are putting these together or wouldn’t mind.
The complex links and gears that allow for moving parts is an equal dose of surprising and exciting to say the least. For young adults who see this they may be thinking, “Why didn’t Legos move like that when we were buying them?” Fret not, for their is no crime, foul, or shame in heading down to your local retailer and purchasing yourself a kit to fill the void that this video clearly excavates.
Here is an excerpt from Brick Builder, “This detailed model features lots o f realistic details, like the visible V6 engine with moving pistons, working steering, chunky tires, a groovy folding roof and bodywork with skull and flame decoration.”
The kit includes digital step by step instructions which can be found on the Lego Technic homepage. The dimensions of the Hot Rod kit measure 3-inches high, 10-inches long, and 5-inches wide. Check out more of Brick Builder’s videos on his YouTube channel here.
