When you’re driving your classic, what is the one part of the car – besides the engine – that is constantly in front of you? If you said your dash cluster, you get a cookie. If your classic is a 1966 or ’67 Chevelle, Classic Instruments is pleased to announce the release of a direct-fit cluster for Chevrolet’s mid-sized hot rod.
This all-new product was debuted at the 21st Goodguys PPG Nationals in Columbus, Ohio. The all-electric, direct-fit cluster features a speedometer and tachometer, fuel, oil, temperature, and volt gauges in one of four available styles. The cluster is ready to install directly into the stock dash of ’66 and ‘67 Chevelles.
It features Classic Instruments’ ZST, meaning it works directly with ECM or VSS signals, and unlike other aftermarket gauge clusters, requires no additional control boxes. The turn signals and high-beam indicator are in the stock locations, and it also features built-in shift and warning lights. The cluster utilizes LED lights for bright, even illumination.
While the cluster was displayed at the Goodguys Show, it finished the weekend by taking home a 2019 Best New Product award in the Interior Components category.
Everything needed to install the package is provided in the kit, including all necessary sending units. The cluster is designed to reuse the stock fuel sending unit or any aftermarket fuel sender (purchased separately) with the built-in ohm-range selector switch. Whether you want to freshen up your stock look or call to add customizations to make it your very own, Classic Instruments’ 1966-67 Chevelle direct-fit cluster offers the perfect seamless installation you desire. These clusters will begin shipping on August 19th, 2019.
